Night Wildlife Experience in La Fortuna

Our nocturnal tour offers an immersive and educational experience that reveals the secrets of Costa Rica’s nightlife. During this 2-hour excursion, you’ll walk a secure, circular trail where nine ponds and a striking lake set the stage for an array of wildlife encounters. Imagine seeing caimans subtly emerging from the water, hearing the chorus of native frogs, and spotting the renowned red-eyed frog amidst other fascinating creatures such as sloths, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and insects. Equipped with flashlights and walking sticks provided by us, you can explore with confidence while expert guides share their deep knowledge of the ecosystem and conservation initiatives. • No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the tour to preserve the quality of the environment and the safety of visitors.
• No Excessive Alcohol Consumption: It is mandatory to attend sober; it is not permitted to participate in the tour under the influence of alcohol or any substance.
• Follow the Marked Trail: To protect the fauna and flora, you must stay on the established route throughout the tour.
• Do Not Disturb the Fauna: Feeding, chasing or interacting inappropriately with the animals that inhabit the area is prohibited.
• Do Not Damage the Natural Environment: Any action that may alter or damage the vegetation and the ecological environment is prohibited.

Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour along an 800-meter circular trail, which will take you to discover nine Pond teeming with wildlife. Along the way, our experts will explain the diversity of species and the positive impact of ecological restoration. At the end, you will return to the starting point, taking with you a unique experience in the heart of Costa Rican biodiversity.

Adults 13+: $50 per person
Children (5-12 years): $35 per person
Children under 5: Free (must be accompanied by an adult)

If you cancel 24 hours in advance, the money will be refunded or the tour will be offered another day, whichever the client prefers.

If the weather puts the safety of the participants at risk, the activity will be cancelled and the money refunded. However, rain is not a reason for cancellation, in fact rainy days are the best to see animals in this ecosystem. If the client decides to cancel with less than 24 hours notice or does not show up, no refunds will be made.
